    Hi Oz

I am inviting 10 guests to a resturant in the City of London for a wine tasting event. The date is not yet fixed but I hopoe to do it in late Autumn. We have selected some special wines Salon 1996 & Armand de Brignac for the champange, Cheval Blanc for the Claret and a Vega Silica Unico 1981 as a non French but still european compariasion.

Would be interested in comming along for a couple of hours & delivering some comment and tasting notes on the wines and perhaps assist in the final selection.

Many thanks in advance for condidering helping us make a special evening.

    • Hi Mark – we’re working with Oz on the Three Wine Men events. Why don’t you and your pals come and meet Oz on the 8th and 9th December at Lord’s Cricket Ground? It’s a great event with about 500 different wines from all over the world to taste. Any cricketing fans in your group? Blowers and (separately) David Gower will both be making appearances too promoting the wines they make. More details at Tickets from

Have you been to Eastern Washington, State? I just moved back to California from Washington, State and I think the wine in Eastern Washington give the wines from California a run for their money. Eastern Washington has Vocanic soils in which Califirnia doesn’t have and a cold winter. I have been wine tasting all over and think Eastern Washington is the best now.
    Sincerely, Lars White.

Hi Oz, We had a terrific time on the “Constellation” with you and Tom. It was a pity that you had to leave the ship early, but Tom soldiered on alone and did a great job with the wine tastings and the evening “get together’s.” We even managed to get a couple of drinks from Kenny!
Thanks again for making our cruise entertaining and informative.
PS I couldn’t find the word “smooth” in your book!
    Keep the nation drinking wine.

    Hi Oz,

Is there any place in the UK or US where I can buy an autographed copy of one of your books? It would be the very best Christmas present I could think of for a friend of mine who is one of your biggest fans. Thanks.

Oz: Just found site. Just read Grapes & Wines. Am a complete neophyte who learned alot @ wine. You talk @ grapes & wine like they are people. They seem to come alive. Awesome. OH! Any tastings in London Sept. 2013? In from US for 3 wks. Thanks for making wine seem more approachable. Best.

Unlike the cricket the wine game was real close with the succulent but scented Neudorf 13 chasing the vivid savoury Clonakilla to the wire.
