Wine of the week | Retailer of the month | Tasting with Oz 2006 Bonarda, Dios del Sol, Mendoza, Argentina 12.5% ABV Somerfield, £3.99 Bonarda is Argentina’s highly effective workhorse grape. This red is a solid chunky red fruit soup with a flicker of typical Bonarda wild strawberry perfume. I wish we saw more Bonarda here. It should be Argentina’s answer to Beaujolais.
