2005 Sauvignon-Semillon, Delor, Bordeaux, France, £3.99, Waitrose
Bordeaux does this sharp, crackling dry white style at a keen price better than anyone in Europe, yet I wonder whether most of us drink even a single glass of white Bordeaux from one year to the next. Well, just try this. It's really good, full, dry stuff with a pepper and coffee bean scent and a fresh crunchy flavour like iceberg lettuce and ripe green apples.
