30 August 2004 2002 Sauvignon Blanc, Forrest Estate, Marlborough, New Zealand, £8.99, Adnams
Well, what do you know? The label tells me this wine tastes of gooseberries and redcurrants. Oh yeah? But it really does. An accurate tasting note on a wine label! The label also suggests tropical fruit – and again, I agree. A lovely scented peach and nectarine softness that is bound together by an acidity that has an almost rhubarb intensity. Delicious modern Sauvignon. Also at James Nicholson.
