2003 Pinotage, Helderberg Winery, Stellenbosch, South Africa, £4.99, Budgens
You're going to love this or loathe it: Pinotage is a grape that takes no prisoners. It is incredibly smoky, has a rich mulberry fruit and a sweet heart of toasted marshmallows, which is needed to stand up to the rock-like rasp of the tannins. If you like the sound of it, this wine is for you. Taken from Oz Clarke's Wine
