2000 Meursault, Louis Josse, Burgundy, France
I know the guys who make this wine. They can give you sublime stuff, and they can give you dross. And charge you the same price. It's all down to whether they like you or not. Well, the winebuying team at Tesco (female, by the way) have worked their charms on these Burgundy boys and come up with a classic Meursault – gentle but full, totally dry and mixing Brazil nuts with oatmeal then coating them with ever-so-slightly sour crème fraîche.
