2004 Chenin Blanc, Peter Lehmann, Barossa Valley, South Australia, £5.03, Budgens
You don't see much Australian Chenin, but it's a grape that's ideally suited to the warm Aussie conditions, because it keeps good acidity even when the sun shines relentlessly. This is a good, full mix of fresh apple and honey and a touch of Danish pastry softness. There's lemon, too – lemon juice and a lemon zest scent. Nice now, it'll age for years. Taken from Oz Clarke's Wine
