2003 Moschofilero, Tselepos, Mantinia, Greece, £7.25, The Wine Society
Here's a true original for white wine lovers who are beginning to tire of the mainstream world of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. It's very dry and, remarkably, smells and tastes of both the flower and the zest of citrus fruits – grapefruit, orange, lemon, but not lime – mixed with just a hint of grapiness and the palate-cleansing dryness of slate and stones. Taken from Oz Clarke's Wine
