2002 Malbec, Faldeos Nevados, Mendoza, Argentina
Argentina is only slowly realizing its potential, and many of its signature Malbec reds are made in an 'international' style. But this one isn't, even though it has a bit more toasty oak flavour than I'd like. The violet scent sings out in the glass, and the damson fruit is glycerine-soft and sweet.
